The Founders
Dibalik berkembangnya Komunitas Indonesian Future Leaders ada 7 orang yang menjadi komponen penting, dan menjadi motor penggerak komunitas ini. They INITIATE, ACT, SHARE, AND INSPIRE. They are the founders! Siapa saja mereka? Simak profil mereka
Muhamad Iman Usman
President
“Think Big, and Make It Happen! To make it to the first mile, we always have to start with one simple step.”
The very inspiring sentence above is the words of Billy Boen’s, the writer of a best-selling psychology book Young on Top. It is also so far a sentence that inspires Muhamad Iman Usman, the president of the Indonesian Future Leaders, the most.
Born on the 21st of December 1991, the immensely energetic boy has accomplished abundantly prodigious achievements, such as being elected as the Mondialogo Junior Ambassador (the title was given to young leaders who had succeeded running a collaborative project with schools overseas and had been able to promote intercultural dialogues by bridging differences) in October 2008, the Indonesian Young Leader in July 2008, and last but indubitably not least, the ASEAN-Indonesia Youth Ambassador in December 2009.
“I believe that there is no such thing as barrier that can possibly obstruct you if you really intend to contribute for your society, even when you are still considered too young by most of the people around you,” said the 18 years old downright neighborly boy. That optimism has most probably been the main elucidation why the unpresumptuous has successfully—and formidably—broken out of the edge. He refuses to be a mediocre part of stereotype in the society. On contrary, he dares to be different; therefore, he irreproachably stands out from the crowd.
Besides having congeries of non-academical accomplishments, he is also brilliant at school. He was once awarded the West Sumatera Students Scholarship by the government of West Sumatera due to his multitudinous achievements during his high school time and myriad contributions for West Sumatera, one of which was that he had promoted the imposingly exotic tourism region nationally and internationally. He also acquired the West Sumatera Best Student Award from the Department of Education of West Sumatera for both of his manifold academical and non-academical attainments.
“When a person becomes successful, I believe that he has been through an arduous test in his process to achieve that his success. No triumph in this world can be achieved instantly. What a person may do in his attempt to run after his success is to accelerate his run to the finish line,” said the Italian cuisine lover judiciously. He chiefly believes that hard work is the most prominent key to achieve success. Thus, he highly values discipline and punctuality. He is also very much agile and rigorous in playing his role as the president of the Indonesian Future Leaders.
Muhamad Iman Usman is surely a striving yet zealous figure. We sure need more youth like him in this global era.
