Children Behind Us – Week 9

23 February 2010 No Comment

Having entered the third month of the running for the Children Behind Us activity, we thanked all the team members, volunteers, and every element that had supported our effort until this time, including you, who are reading this writing at the very moment. With your support, we always keep triggered to conduct the activity better and better each week.

This week’s activity was the Learning and Teaching activity as usual. The material taught to the Pre-School kids was about fruits, while the one taught to the School ones was about vegetables. The kids were given the pictures and taught how to pronounce and spell each of the fruits’and vegetables’ names.

Besides teaching the materials, we also again used some of the toys provided by British International School in order for the kids not to be bored studying. Maul, one of the volunteers that taught both in the School and Pre-School class, demonstrated how to play xylophone in front of the Pre-School kids. The kids seemed quite entertained and refreshed.
At 3:30 PM, as usual, we, Rafika Primadesti,Randa Silvanio, Maulana Muhammad, Dwi Khairani, Aldila Cesaria, Tania Rizki, Ilham Maulana, Widiani Putri, Nathaniel Rayestu, and Siward Mandira, dismissed the class. The kids looked exhilarated as they left Rubik.
